November Greetings! Hope this post finds you in good health and spirits!
- I am motivated
- I am encouraged
- I am determined
Yup… two separate words that each has multiple meanings, yet when put together, they mean one thing.
My inquisitive mind wanted to know where the phrase Cold Turkey came from. Well, it happens that in the old days during the sentencing of a wrongdoing the body would have goosebumps from the fear – the combination of cold (“straightforward, matter-of-fact”) and the turkey talk, which dates back to the early 1800s referring to speaking plainly. As it turns out, now it’s more related to how quitting brings physical symptoms of withdrawal.
Ever wondered how some can quit things Cold Turkey where others are still flapping their wings? Negative habits – positive feelings
As a former smoker, I know how hard it may seem. So take a moment and think about the TRIGGER – ROUTINE – REWARD
Trigger: What prompts you to do it – do you know still?
Routine: What’s your routine – doing the same thing over again.
Reward: How good does this make you feel? Is it as good still?
45% of your habits is doing the same thing over and over, the same way. Skills that you first had to acquire, then master and now its automatic.
Most physical urges go away in 3 days. The mental connection (Cold Turkey) can subside within hours, days or instantly. It’s the emotional connection to the habit that may need more soul-searching. Better yet, in just a few sessions, I can help you tap within and give yourself permission to let it go and be free of its hold on you.
1 – Set your STOP Date.
2- Give YOURSELF permission
4- Visualize yourself as a success
You are not alone. I am here for you!
Turkey’s are admired for their intelligence, playfulness, and resourcefulness. In just a few sessions of hypnotherapy, you or someone you know could enjoy a smokeless Turkey dinner with the entire family, and feel ThankFul.

November 16 – Great American Smoke Out
Robert agrees: “It was hard at first, and I did get cravings. But five months on, I feel fitter, I enjoy running more, I can push further in the gym, and I somehow concentrate better. Food has more oomph to it, too. There is no going back now.”
You were told never to be a quitter – so let’s take control and STOP – today!
I highly recommend this audio recording towards becoming a non-smoker – plus, its accompanying book which I wrote, guiding you through each step and more. To get this recording and others, go to HealWithin Shop.
