Stress and Holiday Blues!
Beat the blues, stress, and anxiety that tend to occur around the
holidays.
Once again the holidays
are upon us, which means long lines, empty wallets, heavy traffic, and cheesecake. That’s
right, it’s not a holiday without it. For many people, the holidays bring on
feelings of anxiety, stress, or even insecurity
that can be hard to shake.
-
Do your friends and family have unrealistic expectations of
you?
-
Are you dreading the holiday
crowd?
-
Do you fear putting on those extra holiday
pounds?
You
are not alone! Feeling blue around the holidays is common, but in this workshop we help
you take control and learn to remain calm and feel relaxed instantaneously. We can’t mow
down a line for you, but we can let you have your cheesecake and eat it
too!_______________________________________________________

Wed Oct-7 Teens & Self
Esteem
I'm
fat. I'm too skinny.
I'd be happy if I were taller, shorter, had curly hair,
straight hair, a smaller nose, thinner thighs, longer
legs. I'd
be happier if I lost 10-20 lbs.
Do any of these statements
sound familiar?
Are you used to putting yourself down and talking down to
yourself? If so, you're not alone. As a teen, you're going
through a ton of changes in your body. And as your body changes, so does your image of
yourself. Lots of people have trouble adjusting, and this can affect your moods, your
behavior and your social setting and school environment.
In this workshop you will
learn:
* Set realistic goals for
yourself.
* Celebrate your
achievements.
* Trust your own
feelings.
* Get the most out of your strengths and do your
best, without demanding unrealistic results of
yourself.
* Above all, to Accept, Appreciate and Honor
Your Self with all that You have & Are.

Treat Anxiety with
Stillness
Learn to be Still and Listen to Your
body Talk
Feeling stressed and anxious?
Sense knots and butterflies in your stomach? This workshop can be perfect for
you. Take time to reconnect with yourself, honor your body and feel
better!
Depending on the circumstances, stress and mounting pressure can
motivate you to accomplish greatness or merely to make each day a challenge to
complete. If you allow stress and anxiety to increase, usually,
the results are undesirable. Over time, the physical signs of
stress can become too much to handle, manifesting itself physically such as in
headaches, fatigue and sleepless
nights.
It is well known
that taking an afternoon nap can help the body to replenish and exercise can help to
pull you out of a bad mood and to aid in alleviating depression. However, mental and
physical fatigue and anxiety are difficult to simply
overcome.
Listen to Your Body Talk - Join us and discover how you can easily control your
anxiety, quiet down
your inner turmoil, connect with your body, and gain a sense of physical and emotional
lightness
!
Contact : Liza at 818.551.1501 for more
information.
Must be registered to participate. RSVP is required. Space is limited. Light
refreshments will be served!
